Anubis DL Helper — install it without a store

A small userscript that puts a Download button next to the video or post you are watching, YouTube included. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, Yandex and Safari through a free userscript manager.

Install the helper

Chrome, Edge, Yandex, Brave

  1. Add a free userscript manager: Tampermonkey (recommended) or Violentmonkey.
  2. Open chrome://extensions · edge://extensions · browser://extensions, press «Details» under the manager and turn on «Allow User Scripts». On an older browser version, turn on «Developer mode» at the top of that page instead.
  3. Press «Install the helper» on this page, then «Install» in the manager's window.
  4. Reload the video page you were on: the Download button appears next to the video.

Firefox

  1. Add Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey from Firefox Add-ons.
  2. Nothing to switch on: Firefox runs the manager's scripts straight away.
  3. Press «Install the helper» on this page, then «Install» in the manager's window.
  4. Reload the video page you were on: the Download button appears next to the video.

Opera

  1. Add a free userscript manager: Tampermonkey (recommended) or Violentmonkey.
  2. Open opera://extensions. If the manager's card shows «Allow User Scripts», turn it on (on an older version: «Developer mode»).
  3. Press «Install the helper» on this page, then «Install» in the manager's window.
  4. Reload the video page you were on: the Download button appears next to the video.

Safari (Mac, iPhone, iPad)

  1. Install the free Userscripts app from the App Store and open it once.
  2. In Safari: Settings → Extensions → turn on Userscripts and allow it on every website (iPhone and iPad: Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions).
  3. Press «Install the helper» on this page, then the Userscripts icon in Safari's toolbar → «Install».
  4. Reload the video page you were on: the Download button appears next to the video.

How to use it

On a supported site, press the green Download button next to the video and pick a quality or audio only. The manager's menu (its icon in the toolbar) also has «This page — best quality», «This page — audio (MP3)» and «Free downloads left».

It updates by itself

Your manager checks for a new version about once a day and updates the helper on its own. You do not need to install it again.

The helper reads nothing until you press its button; then it sends only the link you chose to our server, with an anonymous install number. See the privacy policy.

Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey and Userscripts are made by others and are not connected with us. Download only what you have the right to save (terms of use).
